Inaugurated in April 2014, the Fondation Vincent van Gogh Arles pays homage to the work of Van Gogh—the artist whose flourishing creativity reached its peak during his stay in the city, between 1888 and 1889—while at the same time exploring his impact upon art today. Within the context of temporary exhibitions, original paintings and drawings by the Dutch master appear alongside works of contemporary art, fuelling rich and fruitful dialogues.

From October 1st to January 29th, , a major exhibition "Mon cher ..." is devoted to Urs Fischer, born in 1973 in Zurich1 original paintings are exhibited. Intimate sculptures, paintings on aluminium and wallpapers influenced by Van Gogh paintings, its colours, its self-portraits.











Carrières de Lumières - Les Baux de Provence 

March 6, 2015 to January 2016  

The new magical audiovisual show “Chagall, Midsummer Nights' Dreams” projected onto the immense walls, pillars and floor of the Carrières, presents the masterpieces of one of the most famous modernist artists.

The short show "Alice's Land" takes you on a journez into a wonderful world inspired by Lewis Carrol's novel.

The visit of the quarries will enable you to discover the mineral beauty of this unuasual and unique place. The quarries were excavated over the years to extract limestone in order to build various buildings in the region.

















Visit the CASTLE OF LES BAUX with the audio guide and discover the dungeons, fortified towers, giant buttresses and spectacular landscape from the rocks to the sea, more than 1000 years of history!
