A
Mediterranean garden
in the midst of an olive grove at the step of the
chalky rock hillsides of les Baux
de Provence.
From
the entrance to the hotel, between the olive branches,
a row of shrubs mixed with rosemary,sage and other
aromatic and coloured plants brings you to the reception.
On your left, next to the swimming-pool, a small
lavender field serves the making of lavender-bags
which are sold at the hotel’s boutique.
Our
109 generous and precious olive trees, drenched
by the warm Mediterranean light and swept by the
mistral, are
the treasure of the Alpilles and of the Mas de l’Oulivié
!
Several
olive varieties typical of our terroir :
are
grown at the hotel. Each autumn, our harvest is
brought to Moulin Castelas in les Baux de Provence
which produces an AOC olive oil which expresses
the green fruity character of the terroir of Vallée
des Baux.
