Cooking class in Provence
We propose different options for cooking classes in the vicinity of the Mas de l’Oulivié and les Baux-de-Provence, whether in a private house or in the heart of an aromatic garden, never more than 30 minutes away from the hotel.
These cooking classes are available for groups of 2 to 6 people. For more than 6 people we suggest you contact the Front Desk who will find classes adapted to groups. Reservations for the classes can be made directly with our partners and in this case, please let them know you were recommended by the Mas de l’Oulivié, hotel in les Baux de Provence. Yvan Cadiou Chef and culinary columnist
On an estate full of history and surrounded by the greenery of the Château du Breuil, you will enter the colorful and enigmatic workshop of Yvan Cadiou, a culinary artist who has travelled on almost every continent, known the kitchens of the greatest hotels and chosen to put down his suitcases and utensils in Graveson, 20min from the hotel.
In his cooking workshop and around his host table, Yvan welcomes people passing by, neighbours, craftsmen, producers and local creators with respect to projects or unifying events with only one aim in mind, that of sharing.
The cooking class takes place in a musical atmosphere thanks to his private record collection and invites you to taste great wines from the region : Chateauneuf du Pape, Rasteau, Tavel…
Cooking class for 2 to 6 people, in the morning from 10am to 2:30pm, including lunch, or the afternoon from 5pm to 9:30pm, including dinner. For larger groups, Yvan can propose other options.
Mas de Lilou Private chef
In a lovely renovated 19th century provencal house, located 15 minutes from the hotel, Catherine proposes different menus, the occasion to discover or rediscover French specialities but also those from elsewhere; Catherine having travelled the world for many years has brought back with her numerous recipes which she cannot wait to share with you.
Weekly classes take place on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons from 2pm to 4:30pm but Catherine also offers classes “à la carte” from 10:30 to 2pm.
Certain menus can be followed by a meal-tasting whereby the dishes prepared by the participants can be shared.
These classes will be deferred to 5pm followed by a dinner at 8:30pm.
Gilles Conchy private Chef
Cooking classes with Gilles Gonchy in Saint Remy de Provence every Wednesday or in Eygalieres every Friday, 25 minutes from the hotel. In the heart of Provence, Gilles proposes an experience based on culinary traditions and a cooking workshop. The day starts with a visit to the local market, meeting with local producers and tasting local products. Then there is a visit to a PDO Vallée des Baux vineyard to taste and buy wine. The cooking workshop and tasting of the prepations made from his family owned recipes will take place in the family provencal home dating from 18th century.
The activity is provided for groups of 4 to 8 people. The transport from the local market and back in the afternoon is included. This one day experience starts at 9:30am and ends at 3:30pm.
Natacha Simard Vegetal cuisine
With Natacha Simard, an independant and passionate Chef, you will discover a new way of preparing healthy products in keeping with what they can offer best in collaboration with aromatic herbs from the Sentiers de l’Abondance, certified “Valeurs Parc Naturel Régional”. 30 min from the hotel.
According to your desire, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free cooking classes for 2 or more people, time to be agreed. These classes must be reserved by the Hotel Front Desk
